Experienced Maintenance Technician/Supervisor needed for a San Leandro apartment community. The focus of this position will be on making ready vacant units, maintenance repair calls and working with contractors/vendors. THIS IS A HANDS-ON POSITION! Candidate must have, or be able to do, the following - Assist the team in completing maintenance work orders, (including electrical, plumbing, and appliance work). Ensures resident satisfaction when working in an apartment. Maintains resident contact regarding maintenance problems in the units. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and apartment turns needed. This will include painting, changing hardware, basic plumbing, basic electrical, basic appliance repairs, and HVAC troubleshooting and repair. Completes all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisors. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The ideal candidate is dependable/reliable and follows through on commitments, produces timely work to required standards, and pitches in to get the job completed. Must be an enthusiastic self - starter and natural leader with great customer service and time management skills. Must be attentive to detail, able to work independently and adhere to company standards. Minimum of 2 years make ready experience at an apartment community of 100+. MUST have your own basic tools, a reliable vehicle (preferably a truck or van) and be able to successfully pass a thorough background check. Please do not apply if you don't meet ALL of the criteria.
