SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — An earthquake struck Wednesday morning near Borrego Springs in San Diego County. The magnitude 3.5 quake hit at 3:50 a.m. roughly 6 miles south of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Light shaking was felt across the San Diego region. Residents in Alpine, Borrego Springs, El Cajon, Escondido, Julian, La Mesa, Lakeside, Poway, San Diego, Santee, Spring Valley and other cities reported feeling the quake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
