Kind & Sensitive Rooster needing a new Home

Description

Meet Xerxes! He is a 3yr old black bantam (mini size) silkie rooster. The only reason I am rehoming him is I finally bought a house and live too close to my neighbors to have a rooster, as well as it being against ordinances. I am all game breaking ordinances for a good cause but the other houses are close enough I would feel like a trash human making them listen to the crowing and risking a big dispute. He was a rescue as a young roo from a hoarding situation and was in poor health. I treated him for scaley leg mites and gave him a good bath and lots of socialization and love and he is the best rooster I've had. His health has been great ever since. He is sweet once caught but isn't one to just let people pick him up. He does love baths and even falls asleep while being blow dried. He has NEVER been violent or mean to people, other hens, roosters or animals. He has lived peacefully with my cats, dogs, lizard, small kids, newborn chicks, and other roosters. I have added new chickens to my flock and hatched many eggs and he is very maternal and welcoming to all. I've had to rehome other roosters who bullied him out of the group as he is so timid and won't fight back. He breaks up any bully behavior but never gets physical. He is also very gentle and gentlemanly when mating. He always waits until a pullet is laying before mating, has never injured a hen and doesn't force himself if she doesn't want to. I have a few hens who are still virgins because of this. I am very sad to let him go and don't want to take him to auction or have him be dinner. He would be a great addition to a flock even with very young hens. His crow is more quiet than most roosters as well. He goes to bed pretty early in the evening as well. I am asking a small rehoming fee to make sure he stays safe. He is currently living at my parent's in Lake Tapps and I am available to meet most any time and can deliver him if needed. Feel free to ask any questions! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
