WEST SAINT PAUL, MN— The deadline for a West Saint Paul resident to remove his "Black Lives Matter" mural has been extended to May 4, Pioneer Press reported.
The mural on Ryan Weyandt's fence violates two city ordinances, the publication reported.
Fences in the city must be the same color and cannot have words or pictures, the publication reported. Any type of sign cannot exceed six feet or be attached to fences, except during election season, the publication reported.
The city said that the content of the mural was not taken into consideration in its decision that the mural violates ordinances.
