An Irrigation Technician is an essential member of our team. This position requires technical irrigation and landscape skills. Responsibilities include effective utilization of department and company resources, and irrigation management of customer properties. In addition to being a leader in the performance of excellent work in the field, this person is expected to provide leadership in the training of less experienced personnel and implement improvements in irrigation technology and practices. This position requires experience. An understanding of basic irrigation repairs is essential. This includes but is not limited to repair of laterals, heads, mainlines, valves, backflows, and controllers. An aptitude to troubleshoot complex problems to completion is fundamental. The ability to program multiple controllers for efficient irrigation is preferred. A high performance work ethic that encourages others in the organization is essential. Minimum billing utilization of 85% is expected during the height of the season. Should be able to work alone or with an occasional helper when the project requires assistance to be completed quickly and efficiently. The ability to work well with company management, peers, subordinates, and customers is essential. This includes incorporating feedback from discussions with management, peers, subordinates, and customers and adjusting behavior or attitudes.
