TUCSON, AZ — Are you good with video editing and dedicated to helping Southern Arizona ramp up its COVID-19 vaccination efforts?
If so, then Pima County would like you to enter its "Vax Truth Challenge" contest, which invites young adults to create videos that tell their COVID-19 vaccine story.
The contest's categories include videos laying out the truth about COVID-19 and getting the vaccine, as well as fighting against virus misinformation, telling the public why vaccines matter and informing the public about what they need to know to get their shot, the county said.
One entrant will win their choice of a Nintendo Switch, Chromebook or other approved prizes that costs up to $350.
The runner-up prize in the vaccine video contest is the choice of AirPods, a FitBit or another prize that costs up to $150, the county said.
In order to win, you must be a Pima County resident under the age of 24 and must consent to having the county use the person's video on other outlets.
The deadline for the vaccine video contest is May 17, with videos being accepted via TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube.
All videos with the hashtag #VaxTruthChallenge will be reviewed to ensure they meet the project's criteria, the county said.
Submissions can be in English, Spanish, O'odham, Yaqui/Yoeme and other languages spoken in Pima County.
