Job Type: Full time - OR - Part time Work Days: Monday - Friday Job Location: Rochester, NY Rate: Hourly (dependent on experience), plus benefits and retirement packages Regional Distributors, Inc. is one of the largest distributors of commercial cleaning, food service, paper and packaging products and equipment in Western NY. We are looking to hire a motivated Cleaning & General Maintenance Worker to join our enthusiastic, service-orientated team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of general maintenance and office/warehouse cleaning skills along with strong attention to detail and enthusiastic energy. All necessary cleaning, safety and PPE supplies will be provided. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Cleaning and general maintenance duties for office and warehouse settings. • Sweep and mop floors, apply sealant, wax and buff, if required. • Vacuum and/or steam-clean carpets. • Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping and cleaning surfaces. • Clean and disinfect office desktops and equipment. • Mix various cleaning agents and solutions for removal of stains and cleaning surfaces. • Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, dust furniture, fixtures and scrub surfaces clean. • Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants. • Change light bulbs. • Operate a lawn mower to mow lawns, apply weed killer and/or other pesticides as needed, operate a snowblower to remove snow. • Identify and report possible repairs and safety hazards. • Make minor repairs within individual skillset. • Maintain accountability of cleaning materials and their appropriate storage. • Any other housekeeping functions not listed or as assigned. REQUIREMENTS • At least two years of experience in general maintenance and/or office/warehouse cleaning. Familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred, but not required. • Must be punctual to arrive for shift, reliable and maintain good attendance. • Excellent attention to detail, ability to take direction and follow through coupled with the desire to exceed company expectations. • Knowledge and application of safety procedures and workflow in a warehouse setting. • Strength Rating: H = Heavy Work. Ability to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 lbs. of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
