Job Description Delivery Route Merchandisers are NEEDED for our Brea location. **This is an early morning shift that begins between 2:00 am and 4:30 am, due to this we encourage local applicants. Position: Current Temporary Position with possibility of Fulltime employment Location: Brea, Ca Reports to: Warehouse Manager Early Morning Shift: 1st Shift begins 2:30 AM and 2nd shift begins 4:30 AM. 4-10 Hour days. Day off depends on delivery schedules. ** Overtime available during holiday peak seasons. Permanent Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour (DOE) Delivery Driver Responsibilities include: Delivering variety of items (mainly flowers) Following delivery driving routes and time schedules to Major Chain Stores daily. Driver will also be responsible to provide merchandising and additional products to maintain good relationships with stores. Some Warehouse duties may also be included in daily job duties. Duties and Responsibilities: • Delivering a wide variety of Orchids and succulents to Major Chain Stores • Following delivery driving routes and time schedules • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a forklift and a delivery vehicle. • Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve customer request • Builds and maintains product displays, including maintaining appropriate product levels for display and maintaining the visual appearance of the product. • Monitors and Records store inventory. • Uploads before and after photos of the display area in stores. • Provides excellent customer service to Consumers and store personnel. • Keeps management updated daily regarding store activities and needs. • Conducts daily pre and post transport equipment inspections. • Resolves transportation problems and completes routes in a timely, cost-effective and courteous, service-oriented manner. • Occasionally assists with daily warehouse operations as directed by the supervisor. • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, modified, or changed at any time at Company discretion. Changes may be made formally, informally either verbally or in writing. Requirements • Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver. • Valid professional driver’s license - Class C License with at least one year of experience driving a 16' to 26' truck or cargo van, including picking up and dropping offloads. • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions. • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Good driving record with no traffic violations • High school degree • Basic math skills (Addition/ Subtraction/Multiplication/Division) • Customer Service experience • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. or more. • Ability to upload photos online in stores. • Experience in live plant merchandising a plus!
