Description

We are looking for a capable Warehouse Assistant to support our busy warehouse operations and our team at Timber & Wool Custom Floors. This position entails receiving/storing materials, off loading materials from delivery trucks, delivering materials to job sites, keeping the warehouse organized & other various tasks. Responsibilities- • Receive and process deliveries of flooring materials including hardwood, carpet & rugs (help unload delivery trucks, label & store delivered items) • Prepare and complete work orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule • Inspect products for defects and damages • Perform & keep track of inventory • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize warehouse space • Communicate and cooperate with team members • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures Requirements- • Proven working experience as a Warehouse Assistant or other related position. • Good verbal & written communication skills • Good organizational & time management skills • Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times • Ability to lift & move heavy objects daily (minimum of 75 lbs) • High school diploma • Valid California driver’s license Qualities- • You are a team player • You are reliable & show up on time • You have a “can do” attitude Growth Opportunities- The idea of this position would be to start in the warehouse and grow to be on job sites as an apprentice to some of our journeymen. To learn the craft of installing hardwood flooring and potentially move upward in the company.
