This handsome lovely fellow is Oreo, who came in as a stray to Santa Barbara County animal services and was transferred to Aussie Rescue So Cal. He’s a big high energy boy, technically middle-aged but with the activity level of a young adult. He is border collie and something, maybe lab or maybe pointer. He has a very short coat and a long lean physique. Oreo lives well with multiple dogs and a cat. He is very friendly to everyone he meets. He loves long walks and in fact will need a lot of daily exercise because he is alert and active and needs to be tired out. He’s great on the trails and at the beach. He’d be a great running buddy too. We think Oreo is about seven years old. He’s growing back hair loss from clearly having been neglected for years as an outdoor dog. And he has pretty worn teeth from chewing on himself. He’s just had a dental and Animal Services neutered and vaccinated and microchipped him so he is really ready to go and won’t need any expensive veterinary care for a while!
