Lovely Landscapes and Gardens is looking for an experienced gardener to join our Garden Maintenance crew for the 2021 season. We are a growing landscaping company providing landscape and garden installations, enhancements, design and garden maintenance services throughout the Boulder County area. Our company specializes in creating beautiful, eco-friendly, unique landscapes and garden spaces. We strive to provide excellent service to our customers and a healthy, happy work environment for our contractors and employees. We currently have 1 position open for a Full-Time Gardener (4-5 days/week). Our average work season runs through November 30th. Typical Garden Crew work schedule is Tuesday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. GARDEN MAINTENANCE CREW - Duties Include: • Work on a crew of 3-4 people, including an experienced Garden Crew Leader, in a safe, efficient, co-operative manner to perform garden maintenance on multiple properties in the Boulder area. • Weeding - Identifying and removing weeds from garden beds efficiently, and being able to differentiate between the weeds and the desired plants and flowers within the garden beds. • Pruning or trimming ground-level trees, shrubs, and hedges. • Planting seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees and shrubs. Fertilize and apply mulch and soil amendments, using appropriate gardening tools. • Trimming garden plants and flowers, cleaning up and rejuvenating flower beds. • Installation of mulch, weed barrier systems, gravel, compost and applying organic fertilizers. • Debris, branch and leaf clean-up - Raking, mulching, loading and unloading debris, branches, leaves, dirt, rocks, mulch. • Using hand tools & small power tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruners, pruning saws, trimmers & blowers. • Must be able to lift 30 - 50 lbs and work outdoors for 8 hours/day in various weather conditions. • Must be able to use your personal smart phone to install and use the company scheduling/time tracking app. ** Previous gardening experience is a plus. ** Plant & Pest ID knowledge is a plus. ** Tree & shrub pruning experience is a plus. ** Valid driver's license is a plus. ** Availability 5 days/week is a plus, (4 days minimum). Garden Crew Compensation is $15/hr + **(Depending on experience and skill level) ** We are looking for thoughtful, positive and hardworking crew members.
