General Superintendent position available Local Midsize General Contractor looking for a project superintendent. Must be capable of manage projects through completion.. Ideal candidates will have 5 years' experience in the commercial / residential Construction Industry. This role is responsible for communicating procedures/schedule to subcontractors. The Project Superintendent will ensure that all of the project goals are being implemented by subcontractors and material suppliers. Lastly will work with the Project manager to ensure that projects are executed in a manner that meets the companies mission, vision, and core values. Requirements. • Tenant Improvement experience required • 5 years of experience in the building trades • Ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans and specifications in the construction of a project • Leadership ability • Thorough knowledge of construction techniques and the imagination to derive the most efficient method of completing a task • Foresight to predict problems before they develop • A conscientious attitude towards controlling job costs and adhering to progress schedules • Lay out and Metal Stud / ACT ceiling experience/Drywall experience • Some carpentry/labor required at times • Ability to use level, laser and oversee all aspects of job layout • Schedule inspections • Ability to communicate our plan and sequence of activities to all subcontractors and material suppliers to effectively implement our goals • Maintaining daily field reports • Must hold OSHA 30 certifications SKILLS • Ability to multitask. • Excellent problem solver • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Self-starter with a professional attitude capable of making good decisions. • Punctual, reliable and able to work well with other • Ability to prioritize your work • Professional appearance • Computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel.
