I am not a doctor but as I understand it, each of our immune systems is different and they respond in varying ways to foreign pathogens. If a Covid infection occurs, the immune response to the viral invasion can be too much of a good thing and sepsis can occur which is dangerous because muscles, blood, and organs may not be properly oxygenated. With that in mind, there is an exciting new medical device in development that literally could save lives because doctors want it. But we need make sure it works on healthy people before we can take the next step! So that is where volunteering / get paid a $50 gift card for us to borrow your hand / arm (non-invasive of course) comes in. We will only need it for about 25 mins (total appointment time at the UW Medical Center / lab is about 50 mins). If you park, that's free. What a deal!
