Sterling, Virginia based overhead garage door company is accepting applications to join our team as a Garage Door Service and Installation Technician. The company is a high-end overhead door company that focuses on high quality wood and steel garage doors. We are growing rapidly and offer opportunities for career advancement. Higher compensation compared to other companies in the same industry, due to high standards of quality. This position also offers the potential for a garage door sales role, if interested. Duties & Responsibilities • Identify technical issues • Work with customers to identify a solution • Assemble mechanical components or machine parts • Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance • Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools • Install hardware or other interior fixtures • Run wiring to connect equipment • Prepare invoices Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Physically able to move 50-75+ lbs • Valid driver's license • Must be on-time and reliable • Basic computer skills Veterans are encouraged to apply. Willing to train the right candidate given experience with other residential construction trades. Carpenters are encouraged to apply as well. Experience in the other trades within residential construction will be taken into consideration. This is a full-time, year round position that may also be available as part time work for the right candidate.
