Join the Pioneer Farms team as the Gift Shop Clerk/Retails Sales Associate. We are looking for customer-service minded applicants to manage daily operations at the farm during open hours.
Role & Responsibilities
o Open and close the museum on public days (Thursday- Sunday)
o 25-30 hours per week (predominately Thursday – Sunday)
o Provide excellent customer service to visitors
o Coordinate store staffing and cover shifts when needed
o Track & maintain store stock
o Complete weekly cash sheets
o Manage all Annual Membership transactions
o Work with the Executive Director to manage on-site volunteers
o Assist Director of Events with on-site management of rentals
o Ensure clean restrooms & facilities
o Lead programs or tours when needed
Qualifications
o Strong public speaking skills
o Experience in a customer-service role
o Comfortable wearing a period costume
o Ability to problem solve
Preferred Skills
o Managerial experience
o Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Pioneer Farms is an 1800s living history park in Northeast Austin. The farm is 90 acres of prairie and woodlands that cover five historic sites including Sprinkle Corner, an 1899 village, three homesteads, and a Tonkawa village.
