Anyone out there interested in starting a metal band? I wanna play fast, loud, thick and heavy. I'm fine with anything between Standard E or Drop A. Growling/Vomiting/Screeching only. No singing. No pretty parks. Simple. Heavy. Extreme. I'm best at guitar, but I love playing drums. I only have a single kick, but I can blast beat (with velocity) pretty close to 170-180bpm on a good day. I can play and write bass parts well, but my bass rig is currently out of state. I have a slime green Jackson that is currently tuned to B standard. I have other guitars as well tuned to various tunings. I love drop tunings BUT also believe you can sound just as heavy in Standard tuning. Let's get together and write some tunes! What's the metal scene like here in Ft. Collins? Were house shows a thing pre-COVID? I'm new here. Current ear pleasures: Caustic Wound, Spectral Voice, Cult Leader, Disembowel All-time faves: Darkthrone, Terrorizer, Archgoat, Monolord, Burzum, Gorgoroth, any Swedish Deathmetal, Exhumed, Entombed, blah blah blah I like metal.
