Calvin Ray Paving is looking to add 1 to 2 new crew members to full time paving crew. We are a full service asphalt and paving contractor who has been in business in Wake Forest, NC since 1949. The majority of our projects consist of: asphalt paving, asphalt patching, grading, gravel laying, and other relevant task. Candidate should have experience in asphalt paving or other relevant outdoor labor jobs (ex. construction, landscaping). Candidate must be flexible in performing different kinds of work and duties. We are a small business, and all employees perform a variety of tasks in order to get jobs completed. Pay starts at $15/hr but goes up based on relevant experience and skill set. Job Duties include: - Shoveling asphalt - raking and shoveling gravel and aggregate - loading and moving heavy equipment - heavy equipment operation Candidate must be: - reliable in communication and being to work on time - have reliable transportation - able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time - flexible in work hours. Some days run long on projects and some days we are rained out and unable to work.(rarely work nights or weekends, but weekend work may be available for additional pay) Additional Helpful skills, but not required -CDL license (dump truck experience) - experience operating heavy machinery (skid-steer, excavator, roller) - mechanic experience or skills Please call or email if you are interested.
