WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE/FORKLIFT DRIVER (Portland, Oregon) Continental Hardwood Co. has been in business 45 years. We operate in Washington, Oregon and Northern California delivering top quality Hardwoods to the cabinet and furniture industry. Customers are our business and customer service is the priority! We pride ourselves on safety and efficiency. Continental Hardwood Co. is seeking a career minded “TEAM PLAYER” for a full time Warehouse employee for the Portland, Oregon branch. We offer competitive wages for the industry. Day shift hours are Monday through Friday – 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM The ideal candidate must have the following achievements, abilities, and characteristics. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Load and unload hardwood lumber and plywood products on delivery trucks • Tally and tag incoming lumber and plywood products with barcode scanner and place in correct product location • Prepare orders for shipment with accuracy of product and quantity • Sort and/or grade wood, as needed • Maintain organized work area according to policies and safety regulations • Forklift experience a must JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma (or Equivalent) • Experienced in warehouse operations with shipping and receiving • Forklift Experience • Valid Driver’s License • Physical ability to lift, pull, push approximately 75 lbs. + repetitively and safely • Attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills • Reliable, punctual, quick learner and the ability to work in a team environment • Professional appearance and demeanor • Pass pre-employment drug test IDEAL CANDIDATES: • 2 years + experience in hardwood lumber industry is an asset • 2 years + experience in a warehouse position is an asset • Forklift certified • Experienced in warehouse operations with shipping and receiving EXCELLENT BENEFIT PACKAGE: • Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits • 401K Plan • Vacation and Holiday Pay • Sick Pay NOTE: NON SMOKING AND DRUG FREE ENVIRONMENT QUALIFIED CANDIDATES ONLY - Please email resume thru Craigslist
