Pair of ridiculous Polish Chickens

Events

Haverhill NH

Description

Looking for a new home for 2 hilariously crazy Polish chickens. "Obi" Hatched 2020 - Mostly black rooster with streaks of gold, and white in his crest. He's a neurotic mess who's afraid of his own shadow. Fairly polite about not crowing too early in the morning and has a relatively small sounding crow. Doesn't harass the ladies too much (but will try to see what he can get if the big rooster isn't watching) Not in the least bit aggressive, and will run away over trying to pick a fight. "Cher" Hatched 2019 - One of the frumpiest looking gold-laced polish hens I've ever seen. Has slight wry tail, white feathers in her crest, has a tendency to wander out of the yard, doesn't come when called, throws an absolute fit about being mated. Is at the bottom of the pecking order, but will frequently try to bully her way up the ladder (without success) She's a good egg layer though and lays fairly large eggs for a Polish almost daily. Very bonded to Obi, he's the only one she gets along with and happily roosts next to him, and they are almost always together foraging in the yard. They've been living together in their own run because my main rooster and some of our more dominant hens have been harassing them relentlessly. It would be great if they could go somewhere they can get more space and less aggressive companions. These two need to stick together (Obi is obsessed with Cher, and he's the only rooster she tolerates in our flock) These are standard size birds, not bantam, but would do well in mixed flock. Obi might tolerate being with another similarly sized (or smaller) rooster if there's enough space to get away from each other. Will not separate. Asking $40 rehoming fee for the pair. Located in North Haverhill, NH 03774 (please look up where this is before inquiring, I am NOT near Mass!)
