Rukmani Gupta will give a presentation on the India-China border stand-off, looking at the current strategic posture of both countries, the impact on peace and economic development in the region and the potential for a peaceful resolution. Rukmani Gupta is an expert in China’s foreign policy in South Asia, China-US relations and China-India relations. She is a Chinese-speaking analyst with over 12 years of experience in academia, think-tanks and industry. Rukmani holds an MPhil in Chinese Studies and an MA in International Relations from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her work is focused on international security, geopolitics, defence strategy and military capabilities in Asia. She has a long-standing research interest in China’s pursuit and exercise of power in the international sphere.
