Description

Responsibilities • Lead and direct the activities of assigned line workers to effectively fill finished good products according to Filling and Assembly Specifications (FandA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). • Responsible for work assignments, monitoring, training, recording line productivity, quality results, pallet completions, and related activities to support production requirements • Ensure proper utilization of equipment, manpower, and materials to eliminate downtime, injuries, and waste. Assists in developing more efficient means to identify equipment limitations, staffing, and materials to better utilize available resources and maximize productivity. • Maintain record of materials and product on the line and reports on production progress and results using company approved methods, including documenting metrics on hourly whiteboard, Fill Traveler and Data Sheet. • Assist other personnel to ensure that assigned line runs at maximum safety, efficiency, and quality. This includes, stepping in to perform any job duty on the line in support of line operations. Requirements; • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training, preferably in the areas of cosmetic, food, and/or pharmaceutical packaging or processing production. • Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with line workers and other manufacturing personnel. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak in English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. • Must have solid mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, convert English/Metric units, and apply concepts to practical solutions. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to handle high volume of work and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
