Number of hires for this role 2 Qualifications • Day Shift Full Job Description Position Overview: • The Batcher ensures that all batching activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be attentive, knowledgeable, and have a desire to work with other production team members to develop the best processes and products. Responsibilities: • Requisitions the required ingredients • Batch ingredients in accordance to approved standard operating procedures (SOP’s). • Records necessary batch information including but not limited to, ingredient lot numbers, temperatures, resident time and machine settings. • Operates all scales, mixers and related equipment. Responsible for weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to established standards and procedures. Performs routine tests to ensure resulting mixture meets specified properties and consistencies. • Performs periodic sampling of products during production to ensure consistent compliance to standards including product quality, fill levels, labeling, dating, and container integrity. • Monitors production lines to ensure efficiency; perform real time visual inspections of product and process. • Helps set up and perform all necessary tests and inspections such as pre-op sanitation • Performs setups and breakdowns of batching equipment/machines • Maintains a clean work area on a daily basis. • Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely; periodically deep clean and sanitize mixing and filling equipment, production lines and work area during and after shift • Follows all company policies & procedures • Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place. • Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. • Communicates product and process modifications to the manufacturing process to ensure conformance. • Communicate immediately to operators, supervisors, or management of all circumstances that may affect quality or result to unsafe work conditions. • Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns or tampering with product • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. Requirements: • Basic math and analytical skills • Attention to detail • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision • Mechanical/Technical Aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment failures and make minor adjustments • Knowledge of food safety principles Education and/or Experience • High School Graduate (GED) Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities: • Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s • Accurately completes required Food Safety & Quality Records • Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Department Manager Physical Requirements: The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment as part of the job requirements employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature at times. The Chemical Operator can expect to work as an integral part of the production team and may be responsible for retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment during the chemical process, repairing machinery if problems arise, recording information about equipment and compounds, and assisting in the planning and improvement of processes or products. They will also be expected to comply with all company safety and quality regulations. To be successful as a Chemical Operator, you should be professional with a strong understanding of mechanical and chemical processes. The ideal candidate will be attentive, knowledgeable, and have a desire to work with other production team members to develop the best processes and products. Responsibilities: • • Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process. • • Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature, and input into the database. • • Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes. • • Assisting in planning and improving processes and product quality. • • Working with other team members to complete the production process. • • Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear. • • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary. • • May clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation. • • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: • • High School Diploma or equivalent. • • More education or experience in a related field may be required. • • Understanding of chemical process. • • Aptitude for mechanics. • • Basic computer skills. • • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • • A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. • • Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary. • • Ability to lift 50lbs or more. • • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. • • Ability to read and write. • • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. • • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. • • Knowledge of food preparation and quality standards.
