I just bought a 1994 Ford F-150 and there are a number of things that need fixing, and a couple that need diagnosing prior to fixing. Rather than just take it to a garage I’d like to do some of the work myself, but I’m a rookie when it comes to car repair and it didn’t come with a manual. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, building furniture, getting dirty, and putting in the work. What I’d love is for someone who has experience with these older model Ford’s to help show me the ropes and be a sort of consultant to help me troubleshoot the issues and best way to repair them. Think of it like a mechanic who doesn’t have to get their hands dirty :) Obviously you’ll be paid for your help, and we can discuss rates if you’re interested in the gig. Here is a brief list of some of the issues to be fixed: Light engine drumming/tapping sound when driving Hard shifts AC doesn’t work Brake sticks a little Odometer and speedometer both broken Along with some other things. Ideally you’d be passionate about these old beauts andwant to pass your knowledge along to a new guy who is very interested in expanding his mechanical knowledge and skills.
