Job Overview: (Please send resume to be considered) LG&P is looking to hire an experienced Custodian to join our team. A Custodian’s main responsibility is to clean a workspace, warehouse or similar space. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as: Responsibilities & duties: ● Dusting/disinfecting all surfaces ● Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed ● Washing windows ● Maintaining a thorough inventory ● Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners if needed. ● Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling ● Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms ● Clean and service custodial equipment as needed ● Perform minor repairs on furniture, buildings, and equipment ● Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department ● Lock and unlock windows, doors, and gates ● Ensure grounds areas are clean and orderly ● Perform general labor to support operation requirements as needed. ● Sweeping, mopping, dusting racks, yard maintenance, building maintenance, etc. ● Process trash removal and corrugated scraps with a compactor. ● Strong attention to detail. Requirements: ● Driver’s license required ● Forklift certification required (Will train/certified) ● High School Diploma or GED Equivalent ● Ability to stand and walk for long periods ● Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds ● Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools ● Time-management and multitasking abilities ● Physical strength and stamina ● Organization skills ● Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills ● Ability to work with minimal supervision ● Previous custodial / cleaning experience preferred. ● Experience with common hand tools ● Able to use step ladders ● Basic electrical knowledge (120V) *Plus ● Monthly fire inspection experience *Plus This is a full time position - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm.
