We strive to make fine dining more approachable and designed for delivery. Our gourmet, small-batch meals are cooked, individually packaged, chilled and shipped overnight to clients in the tri-state area, and beyond. Weeks away from our launch, we are looking for another team member to join us in this new adventure. We are looking for a dedicated Chef to join our small team that currently includes 1 chef, kitchen help + manager. We’ll grow as we move forward. From the right candidate we expect ability to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company’s standards. All employees are expected to work as a team, during each of the production steps: food shopping, food prepping, food fabricating and lastly packaging, shipping and overall kitchen upkeep. Chef’s responsibilities include: *Following instructions; reporting & working along other Chef/Manager *Assisting with food shopping & inventory *Adhering to the timely preparation of food orders *Organizing workstations, and assisting other chef as needed *Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items *Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes. Chef Requirements: *Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques *A food handler's license *Proven experience working as a Professional Chef *Knowledgeable with gluten free and dairy free preparations *The ability to follow recipes and perfectly registering nutritional values of each meal/ingredient *Effective communication skills *A team-player *Creativity! Ideal candidate must be passionate about food on all levels, have great taste and knowledge on healthy dishes as well as current culinary trends. Hours: We operate out of a shared commercial kitchen space used 3 days/week. (Sat, Sun, Mon) food prep, cooking and then packaging/shipping. An additional day (Fri) will be for off site food shopping, and accepting the deliveries, etc. In the startup stages this position requires 8 hours shifts on three days (Sat, Sun, Mon) + possibly 4 hours on Fridays. As the company grows the days/hours will change and will require additional time. When you join our startup and once company takes off, you will become a part of our core team that will be evaluated for bonuses and promotions. Great opportunity for a long term employment.
