Join us for our May Hope Day to bring HOPE to those who need it most in the Fairview Park community! EVENT DETAILS: When: Saturday, May 22nd Volunteer Shift: 8:30AM-12:30PM Where: Journey Church- Fairview Park Campus (21220 Lorain Rd, Cleveland OH 44126) Parking: Please park across the street from Journey Church campus What is a choice pantry & why do we do this? It's just like a grocery store but free for our neighbors.We believe in bringing dignity to those we are serving as well as building relationship with them. This model allows us to reduce the food waste by curating their food bag to be exactly what they want. Beyond dry food we also offer our guests kids books, letters of hope, prayer and other resources in collaboration with our below partners. *Partners: We could not do what we do without our amazing partners! Thank you to: Greater Cleveland Food BankKids' Book BankWalmartFairview Park SchoolsFairview Park Police Journey Church What to expect as a volunteer: Sorting Food: Help us sort the new food we have received over the last month for our pantry. Build food bags: Shop our choice food pantry for our Hope Day guests. Parking: Help us pass out food to cars coming through our Food Pantry. Runners: Transport food from our food pantry to guests waiting to receive food in our parking spaces. SERVING ATTIRE: We will be outside for our entire serving time, therefore, please dress accordingly.
