Juneteenth Fest is a weekend of celebrating the emancipation of our enslaved ancestors, which took place on June 19, 1865. Although the Emancipation Proclamation was signed years before, the news did not get to Galveston, Texas until 1865. It is recognized as "Freedom Day" and events take place all over the country.
Come enjoy singing, music, comedy, fashion and hair show, dance , Great tasting Food Vendors, pop-up shop, support black owned businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, kidtrepreneurs, kids zone.....and afternoon of fun. Come out Sunday to enjoy a evening of soul! This is an amazing jam packed weekend for all to enjoy! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for a comfortable entertaining experience.
