FIELD TECHNICIAN Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 Summary/Objective The Installer will assist with the onsite-project duties for the Installation Division of Innovative Metal Industries from preconstruction throughout project closeout. Projects will encompass multiple divisions of Innovative Metal Industries. It is understood that Innovative Metal Industries contracts projects nationally and travel will be required. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Assist with daily implementation of construction projects from award to completion. • Light fabrication of product onsite and at factory. • Installation of all building components typical to a full data center tenant improvement. • Installation of IMI Acoustics and sound control devices. • Aid in selecting tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. • Coordinate and work with construction workers and subcontractors. • Reviews shop drawings and submittals. • Be familiar and understand the project in-depth schedule • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. • Performs related duties as assigned by supervision. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently • Strong knowledge of hand/power tools and measuring equipment • Verbal and written communication skills • Accurate and precise attention to detail • Goal-oriented and organized leadership • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions • Self-motivated and self-directed • Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers • The ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly • Basic Math Skills • Ability to read/understand blueprints and/or basic schematics • Must have a valid driver’s license • Availability to work 40 or more hours per week EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Graduate/GED and/or combination of education and experience 3-5 years’ experience in a construction environment preferred
