Modulus Cleanrooms has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Foreman. The Foreman will work closely with a Project Manager to understand the scope of work, the expectations for completing the work, and to address issues that arise on the job to keep the project moving forward in a safe and efficient manner. The Foreman will be responsible for managing and facilitating teams in the field, to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and on budget, while meeting industry standards for quality and safety. The Foreman will have the ability to step-in when necessary to participate in the construction process, and as such will be proficient in the use of all standard hand and power tools. This ability to “step in” is critical for demonstrating a concept or idea to the construction team, or to contribute to the team to keep the project on schedule. Team size will vary from one to five people depending on project complexity. There can be more than one project on a given day requiring the Foreman to split time between sites. Construction teams typically work from 6am to 3pm. Required Skills: Valid drivers license and clean driving record Thorough understanding of construction concepts and terminology Proficient in the use of standard hand tools, power tools, measurement and layout devices, etc. Ability to read blueprints, pdf construction prints, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with Modulus construction teams, other tradesman on site (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), General Contractors. Understand work scope; communicate scope to construction teams; monitor and manage the team to work consistent with the scope goals. Ability to problem solve in the field to keep the project moving forward, or the ability to clearly document and describe more complex problems to the PM for problem resolution. Report status to Project Manager on a timely basis throughout the day Strong organizational and communication skills as well as detail oriented Desired Skills: Certified in forklift and scissor lift operation Multi-lingual communication skills (English, Spanish) Employment Type: Full-time
