Myers Restaurant Supply, LLC, a division of Edward Don, a Leading National Foodservice Equipment and Design Company has an immediate opening for a Shipper. Our warehouse is rapidly growing, fast paced, focused, and exciting. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to multi-task, enjoys a friendly, supportive and social environment, GENERAL SUMMARY: Accountable for ensuring that all shipped product quality exceeds our customers’ expectations. Perform the primary responsibility of efficient and accurate order pulling. Physical requirements include walking, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing a ladder. Other requirements include strong reading comprehension. Perform other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain a positive attitude and support the morale of your team members • Process all sales order/project shipping requisitions that arrive before 12 noon each day Provide confirmation of all shipments/non-shipments with tracking information • Coordinate the proper carrier for each shipment to minimize cost • Prioritize tasks to fill shipping requisitions in order of importance • Follow established procedures to charge appropriate freight per order and/or per customer • Work intelligently to reduce potential damage to product • Perform the building of product on pallets, wrapping them from top to bottom, and staging them, as necessary • Utilize material costing software to successfully locate stock • Search and validate product counts as requested by the Inventory Control Specialist, Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, or the Director of Purchasing & Logistics • Communicate stock outages to Inventory Control • Maintain a positive attitude and support the morale of your team members • Operate any equipment trained and certified to use in a safe and efficient manner May include a cutting knife, pallet jack, forklift, or other heavy machinery & lift up to 75lbs. • Occasionally receive items into inventory software * Use of a cutting knife to open cartons, read packing slips, and count items * Verify actual product with packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, and confirm product integrity * Properly tag items & break down product and palletize, as necessary * Contact vendors and internal departments on any damages, discrepancies, and other issues • Assist all warehouse staff with daily orders, project staging, and project loading as needed • Actively maintain a clean, organized warehouse Resume required for consideration.
