BELLMORE, NY — U.S. News and World Report put out its annual list of top schools in the country. Bellmore-John F. Kennedy High School made the survey as 836th best in the nation. But the south shore school was number 77 within New York.
Kennedy is part of the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.
Bellmore-JFK has a 76 percent AP participation rate, while the minority enrollment is at 16 percent.
On the U.S. News and World Report scorecard, Bellmore-JFK got a 99 in reading proficiency and 98 in graduation rate.
