NEW MILFORD, NJ — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool. The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic. So where near New Milford can you take a dip? New Milford Swim Club, Trotta Drive, New Milford The pool will be open starting may 30 and 2021 memberships now available for residents and non-residents. Check the rates for new membershitps here. Palisades Park Swim Club, 200 Roosevelt Pl, Palisades Park Starting June 17, the Palisades Park Swim Club will be open everyday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for members and 12 a.m. to 6 p.m for daily guets ($15 entrance per person). Englewood Field Club, 341 Engle St., Englewood The club has a large heated outdoor swimming pool, open to members and their guests from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Private and kids swimming lessons are also available for members. Tryon and Mackay Englewood Pools, next to Janis Dismus Middle school and Mackay Park, respectively The Tryon and Mackay Englewood Pools will be open starting June 22. Operating hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Membership is $30 for individuals and $100 for families, plus processing fees, and people can sign up for it through class pass. Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, 411 East Clinton Av., Tenafly There is an inside and outdoor pool available at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and membership is $131 for individuals and $181 for families. The outdoor pool is set to open for the summer season on Memorial Day.
