The City of Puyallup is hiring seasonal Parks Maintenance Workers. We have immediate openings! Positions are 6-9 months, with flexible start and end dates. Employees perform a variety of manual labor activities, and may include maintaining and watering plants, weed control, mowing, litter and trash collection, ball field preparation and maintenance, restroom cleaning, interior and exterior painting, minor plumbing, other repairs, and maintenance activities as assigned. These positions will work in highly visible areas involving frequent interaction with the public, requiring positive and proactive communication and customer service skills. Qualifications: • At least 18 years of age to operate maintenance equipment. • One-year work experience in horticulture, landscaping or building and grounds maintenance preferred, OR any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skills, and abilities required. • Must have a good driving record to operate machinery and vehicles which is a condition of employment.
