We are hoping to rehome our 9 month old German Shepard/ Chocolate Lab/ Husky mix puppy. He is about 82 pounds, has NOT been neutered, and uses a size XL (48 in.) crate, as he is crate trained. His name is Gus.
He knows commands such as sit, down, stay, off, leave it and shake, and has been trained with his crate as being his "place".
He has some behavioral issues that we just don't have enough time or patience to help correct, we've tried but he's stubborn. He is high energy and needs room to run, that would hopefully help with some of these issues. He just grew much bigger than we thought, and much faster. He loves to be loved and give kisses, and will cuddle with you.
He has never hurt a person or another animal, he's been around our two younger children with no issues, and we have 2 other dogs, including his brother.
He barks at people and other dogs, bark collars don't work, he chewed through the collar on the last one and then tried eating it. He likes to dig, like alot - and he's good at it. He is a chewer and needs lots of aggressive chewer toys. He's taken food off the counter once, and likes to stick his head in the trash. He also pulls on the leash, and he is very strong - not recommended for small or younger children to handle currently. Also, the husky genes made him a talker, so he has that husky whine that gets annoying when it's constant.
We just want him to find a family that has the time and space to love and train him. He needs room to run and someone with patience to get him where he needs to be. We're not asking a rehoming fee, we're being brutally honest because we really just need to find him a new home ASAP.
Call or text with any questions.
