WilCo Officials Make Arrest at Hendrix Apartment Complex

AUSTIN, TX — A 20-year-old man was arrested after barricading himself for several hours at a northwest Austin apartment complex on Tuesday . Kaliceon Lewis was arrested without incident and booked him into the Williamson County Jail, Williamson County officials said Tuesday afternoon. Lewis faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence and aggravated kidnapping. There were no injuries and the scene at the complex has now been cleared. Authorities were on-scene for a barricaded person at the Hendrix Apartments on the 9800 block of Copper Creek Drive early Tuesday. The Central Texas Regional SWAT team was called to the complex to deal with a barricaded subject, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said. Those in and around building 10 were asked to stay inside and lock all exterior doors and windows until law enforcement said it was safe to leave. The shelter-in-place order has been lifted, officials said.
