Description

Join us as Alain Epp Weaver explores the Palestinian - Israeli conflict and more. Alain Epp Weaver, author of Mapping Exile and Return: Palestinian Dispossession and a Political Theology for a Shared Future will be unpacking the Palestinian - Israeli conflict, a topic that is not only political but also theological. Perhaps other events have taken over the news lately, but the Middle East continues to be a critical concern from our shared history, in our current moment, and well into our future. Due to COVID-19, our in-person seating is limited, however, the event will also be live streamed! If you decide to join us virtually, we ask that you still RSVP to receive the link to the live stream as well as make a suggested donation of $10. If you're already a Row House Member, you are not expected to donate. Thanks for being a part of our mission! Weaver is the director for strategic planning at the Mennonite Central Committee. Additionally, he has previously served as a co-representative for Palestine, Jordan and Iraq at the Mennonite Central Committee and was a project coordinator in the Gaza Strip. Weaver earned his PhD in theology from the University of Chicago Divinity School and is the author and editor of several books, articles and essays.
