Whether you’re an avid bicyclist and paddler or a beginner, you’ll enjoy this fun adventure! Guides provide instruction and safety. The Pedal & Paddle is back!Must be 16 or older to participate. This event is limited to 15 participants. The first Pedal & Paddle of the season will begin and end at Schuylkill River Greenways in Pottstown. Ride on the Trail The adventurous activity will begin with a 4.5 mile bike ride along the Schuylkill River Trail lead by our partner Take It Outdoors. Participants will first stop at the historic Morlatton Village for an outdoor educational tour of the 18th century buildings. Then participants will continue to Douglassville’s Ganshahawny Park to enjoy a boxed meal before paddling on the river. During your meal, you'll learn more about Schuylkill River Greenways from one of our representatives. Kayak Along the Schuylkill River At Ganshahawny Park, the group will receive a brief introduction to kayaking from Take it Outdoors before paddling back to Pottstown along the Schuylkill River. More Details All participants will be required to wear the provided personal flotation device and sign a waiver. Regardless of skill level, everyone will receive a safety briefing before beginning the excursion. Participants must register in advance. A meal, guides, bike, kayak and all other gear are included with each registration. The cost is $40 per person. Please bring at least 32 ounces of water. Water will not be provided. Please bring your own mask which will be worn when not cycling, paddling or eating. Participants will also stay six-feet apart from people outside their household at all times. Waivers You and every person you sign up to participate in this event will need to sign the the waiver listed below. This waiver can be signed electronically and MUST be completed by noon Friday, May 14. If you don't sign the electronic waiver by this time, you will need to complete one in person on the day of the event. Parents or guardians will need to complete the waiver for anyone under 18 years old. Anyone who doesn't complete the waiver will not be able to participate in the event.
