Press release from the Wright County Government:
April 26, 2021
The Wright County License Center has announced that it is back at full staffing and will resume taking walk-ins at its indoor location at the Wright County Government Center. Last week, the License Center had to shut down walk-in traffic due to a COVID-19 exposure among staff that lessened the number of available employees.
Those will appointments were still able to get their driver's licenses renewed or upgraded to REAL ID and those with appointments get priority over walk-ins, who often have to wait 30-60 minutes to be serviced. More than 600 new appointments will become available at 8 a.m. Friday.
The indoor portion of the License Center deals only with driver's license renewals that require a photo and is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. All other business (tabs, plates, title transfers, etc.) is conducted on the walk-up window on the parking deck on the south side of the Government Center and that is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
