Ruse Burglary Reported In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A home in Glen Ellyn was recently the target of a ruse burglary in which the burglars pretended to be from the Glen Ellyn Park District, police say. According to police, the burglary took place Sunday near the St. Charles Road corridor. One suspect distracted the homeowners in the backyard while other suspects stole items from the home. Police are urging residents to take extra caution. Anyone with information is urged to call the Glen Ellyn Police Department at 630-469-1187. Glen Ellyn police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for information Tuesday morning.
