Description

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A Heights Schools staffer has tested positive for COVID-19, the district announced this week. The staffer works primarily at Millikin, but was also in the Board of Education offices on April 16. The staffer appears to have been mostly solitary while working and investigators have found they had no close contact with any students or other staffers. "Additional cleaning and disinfecting of the spaces the staff member occupied, which include an office, surrounding work spaces, and the break room (all at Millikin), occurred this morning," the district said in a statement on Monday evening. While the COVID-19 vaccination process continues statewide, the Heights Schools encourage members of the community to do their part to stymie the spread of the virus. Common sense safety practices include: Wearing a face maskSocial distancingFrequent hand washing with soap and waterHand sanitizing when soap and water are not availableStaying home when you do not feel wellDisinfecting high-touch surfaces regularlyNot sharing food, drinks, cups and utensilsAvoiding crowds
