The City of Carlsbad is seeking residents interested in filling four vacancies on the City of Carlsbad Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee for the term May 2021 through May 2023. Applications for these volunteer positions are available on the city's website or in the City Clerk's Office, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive. Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by noon on Thursday, May 21.
The vacancies exist on the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee for Districts No. 1, 2, 3 and 4. The Committee:
Consists of seven members. The membership consists of a representative from the Planning Commission, Senior Commission, Housing Commission and four residents representing the City Council Member districts. Reviews grant proposals and makes recommendations regarding CDBG funding allocations to the City Council concerning federal funding. Holds a maximum of three meetings per year in the months of March and April. The CDBG Advisory Committee members must be residents of Carlsbad and registered voters. Members serve two-year terms.
Term: May 2021 – May 2023
