When the officer contacted the vehicle's two occupants, the officer discovered a loaded handgun in the back seat.

On April 26th at 2:50 am, an officer again conducted a security check of the same corridor along Seawall Drive in the marina. This time the officer spotted another vehicle parked in the prohibited parking area and contacted the vehicle's two occupants—a 45-year-old Oakland man and 23-year-old woman (no address). While speaking with the pair, officers spotted a loaded handgun made of polymer (AKA ghost gun) with a 33 round magazine on the floor of the backseat. When officers searched the man, they found 2+ grams of cocaine in his pockets.
Both occupants were arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded and concealed handgun. The 45-year-old man was also arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for possession of a controlled substance (Case 2021-00018285).
