Undercover Human Trafficking Sting In Tuscaloosa Nets 20 Arrests

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force says 20 arrests were made during an undercover operation conducted in Tuscaloosa Thursday through Saturday nights, which were aimed at stopping any sex trade in the area. Click here to subscribe to our free daily newsletter and breaking news alerts. The task force said five of the men arrested were charged both traveling to meet a minor for an unlawful sex Act. On Thursday, the task force reported that 11 men were charged with soliciting prostitution after attempting to meet who they thought were adult women. Investigators also said an additional suspect who drove one of the men to Tuscaloosa was charged Saturday on outstanding warrants from another county. Other charges against the 17 suspects included obstructing government operations, drug possession and electronic solicitation of a child.
