Apply online here: Under the direction of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Jeff Steen, CGCS, and the Golf Course Superintendent, Grant Suderman, The Country Club at Loch Lloyd is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to perform as Equipment Technician. It is an exciting time to be a part of Loch Lloyd with ongoing projects, new 2020 John Deere fleet and an ever growing team of professionals. The Equipment Technician for The Country Club at Loch Lloyd performs overall equipment and facility maintenance, ensuring all are in proper working condition. Skilled mechanical fundamentals and the desire to learn is necessary for consideration in this position. The Equipment Technician will be in charge of all facility maintenance including managing, cleaning, tracking and ordering materials to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Essential Functions Oversee all conditions of the reels, blades and bedknives to ensure grass is cut properly Basic understanding of reel technology, grinders (CCLL owns Foley bedknife and reel grinders), welders, hand tools, drills, saws, etc Perform hourly and/or daily maintenance needs on all equipment by following manufacturers’ recommendations on equipment needs Diagnose and troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment Assess operating equipment prior to daily use Provide proper training of equipment for sustainable operation and effectiveness Constantly check facilities for cleanliness and organization while holding associates accountable Personal Attributes Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional time management Thrives in an early morning work environment Strong attention to detail and precision Skills and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required Minimum of 2 years of qualified employment in a mechanical field, golf industry preferred Strong understanding of all safety regulations and procedures Computer literacy for tracking, communication and updates Physical Abilities Required to stand and walk for extended hours Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing Required to talk and hear effectively Ability to lift, carry and/or drag up to 75 pounds if necessary Specific vision required includes the ability to distinguish the nature of objects by use of the eye Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic and caustic chemicals Ability to work nontraditional hours, early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary and set by management.
