Fabric rummage sale to benefit Common Threads of Maine Sewing School! GRAND OPENING of our new thrift & gift retail store! May 27 to 31, Thursday to Memorial Day from 10 am to 4 pm. 90 Bridge Street Suite 305 on the third floor of the Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook. We have LOTS of fabric for quilting, fashion, upholstery, and more! Some highlights: - Packs of high-quality quilting cotton donated by a local quilt guild - The collection of famous gown designer John Burbidge - silk, organza, mercerized cotton, velvet, fancy trim - Kits of pre-cut kid's pajamas We have LOTS of tuned-up used sewing machines including several beautiful refurbished vintage Singers. A sewing machine at every price point! We're also offering some finished products which were made by the sewing instructors while demonstrating projects during class. These include hats, aprons, bags, and children's clothing. All proceeds will go to support our nonprofit sewing school. We run 12-week classes on industrial stitching techniques and then help place participants with local manufacturers. Learn more about our programs at www.commonthreadsmaine.org
