Seeking Collaborators

I'm a guitarist and songwriter seeking collaborators to create a sound that lands somewhere in the shoegaze/dream pop and psychedelic rock genres. I like stretching pop conventions and building sonic texture. If that's your thing, read on. Bands that pair atmospheric sounds with conventional song structures, or mess with song structure while relying on catchy grooves and unique textures - that's what I'm hoping to do. Here are a few examples: Lush, Slowdive, Beach House, Tame Impala, early The Verve, MGMT. Some heavier shoegaze-literate bands, too, like the Deftones and the Smashing Pumpkins. Looking for instrumentalists (percussion, bass, keys) who share interests. Bonus if you can sing. I sing and play keys, but I'm not fabulous at either. Ultimately, I hope to develop a collection of songs and play shows. I've got roughly one night a week to get together, which is what my family life allows.
