Most people are politically biased, too many people are hypocrites. I have told people over the years that no matter how bad something is they can truthfully say about the "other" party, I can come up with something similar about their favorite party. Prior to President Trump I could always come up with something equally as bad about the "other" party. His insurrection was a first. President Biden is coming to the ATL soon, and I bet he is going to go all Dinosaur over fossil fuels and Climate Change and his goal to unrealistically quickly replace 650,000 Federal vehicles with clean green energy! The manufacturing of an electric vehicle is not much different from an ICE vehicle, except for the batteries. The average gasoline vehicle has a small lead acid type sealed batter that weighs around 40 to 60 pounds, and they are easily replaced and recycled. The electric vehicles have 700 pound lithium batteries that are expensive to manufacture and recycle. They also catch on fire occasionally. If Biden even manages to add 50,000 electric vehicles in his hopefully only term, what about all the car chargers that will also need to be installed at Federal properties and even in Federal employee homes to charge their cars? Whose gonna pay for that? It is less expensive and creates much less hazardous waste to manufacture a good V6 ICE engine than it is to manufacture a Lithium Battery, that is why they have been made in China for so long. I'm glad Ga is getting the new battery factory, but even with the 3 o4 the US of A is projected to have, they can't meet Biden's goal. I remember when President Bush gave us his Renewable Energy Act starting in 2004, and then in 2007 he went all out Green and started subsides for Ethanol. Because farmers were able to get paid more for corn they sold to a Moonshine distillery, I mean Ethanol refinery, so much corn was diverted from producing regular corn products starting with animal feed, that the price of Beef and Pork went up 25% in 2008. Thank you G.W. Think about it kids, because of something a President did 14 years ago, we have been paying more in taxes so our high quaility gasoline can be diluted with 10% low quality Ethanol. Right now Regular 87 octane fuel with 10% Ethanol in it is $2.50 a gallon, and I have to pay $3 a gallon for 90 octane pure gasoline because it is a specialty product. If our bribed politicians got rid of all the Ethanol subsidies, 90 octane pure gasoline would be $2.55 a gallon, and get 5 to 8% better gas mileage than the Ethanol crap.
