Thornapple Apts seeking a highly skilled maintenance technician to assist in daily operations. Requirements: - Basic Plumbing, Electrical and Maintenance skills - Great attendance and a clean cut appearance is a must - 1+ years experience - Valid driver's license with reliable transpiration - Must be willing to work on call through a rotation with all maintenance tech - Drug free work environment - Must have a clean criminal record - Must have their own tools Responsibilities: 1. Conduct all business in accordance with company policies/procedures, Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, state & federal laws, OSHA, and all other laws pertaining to housing. 2. Constantly aware of the condition of the community and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions; e.g., broken steps, open holes, 3. Exceptional tenant relations. 4. Ensure grounds are neat and free of litter. Rake, sweep, shovel, as necessary. 5. A thorough understanding how to work hand, power tools and equipment. 6. Inspect and help coordinate all needed repairs and services. 7. Routinely perform the following duties in order to restore apartment to "market ready" status: - Examine, diagnose, and repair appliances as necessary. - Change locks and make keys when necessary. - Perform repairs to sinks, bathtubs, etc., when warranted. - Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment -Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, trash, etc., to dumpster when necessary. 8. Help with service orders as required by the workload of the department. 9. Perform work area clean up and safety related duties. 10. Report all major repairs and need requisitions. 11. Perform any additional duties assigned Pay rate starts at $10.00-$13.00 per hour. Depending on experience.
