Cold storage warehouse in Redondo Beach is looking for a part-time maintenance and sanitation worker. JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for general sanitation work in the office and warehouse. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Responsible for wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hair net, sometimes gloves) • Perform tasks associated with general sanitation – to include: scrub, scrape, and clean warehouse floors, walls, and ceiling • Keep plant trash removed on a timely basis • Follows sanitation dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene • Follow sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) • Perform scheduled tasks on the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Bi-Annual logs. • Sweep, mop, clean, and sanitize floors • Able to learn how to operate and clean a sit down floor scrubbing machine • Should be able to lift 25 lbs • Participate in ongoing training sessions for the sanitation department • Maintain clean outside grounds and office areas • Clean and sanitize employee restrooms • Clean and sanitize lunchrooms • Perform all work assignments for position in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements • Ability to work in a team environment • Demonstrates good verbal communication skills • Help with general maintenance i.e. handy work of minimal repairs. • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Must have reliable transportation • Must have a flexible schedule working part time weekdays and weekends if necessary • Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish
