Description
We are a small catering and private chef team looking for talented prep cook/sous chef for our commercial kitchen in Sebastopol. Part time Prep for parties and organize puckouts.
Looking for on-call & set days part time.
Must have:
Good DMV and own vehicle.
Receive deliveries.
Knowledge of basic meat preparations: Cleaning beef filet, trussing, French a rack of lamb, bone fish - etc.
Make stocks and demi-glace.
Good knife skills.
Properly prep and blanch vegetables.
know your mother sauces.
Basic desserts, will train right person. I.e. crème brulee, cheesecake, tortes...
Creative and can improvise culinary techniques.
Follow recipes and cook basic fundamentals with out.
Organize refrigerators and maintain the best food handling procedure.

Work Clean, fast but safe.
Self starter.
Catering experience 2 years.
Food handler certificate.
Lift 50 lbs.
Willing to go onsite for events occasionally to help Chef
4 years high end restaurant prep or cooking experience or culinary degree
Positive attitude!
Team Player!
Willing to wash own pots and pans on occasion, heavy prep days you will have a personal dishwasher to help: We have an automatic washing machine...
